The work
A good painting brief explains more than the colour you want. Share photographs of the full wall or room as well as any peeling paint, cracks or damaged areas. Tell David whether you are refreshing a lived-in home, preparing a room before moving in or giving an exterior wall some attention.

Separate walls and ceilings in your brief so the quote covers the surfaces you actually want painted. Include room dimensions, ceiling height, the existing colour and the finish you have in mind. A boundary wall and a high exterior wall need different access arrangements. Send a wide photograph showing the full height and close-ups of peeling paint, cracks or staining.
